Ways to Give

Founded by 30-year educator Linda Cliatt-Wayman, Currently Trending is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works directly with low-income high school students in Philadelphia to ensure that they graduate high school in four years on a path to success and happiness through coaching, mentorship, and leadership development.

Students begin their journey with Currently Trending with a three-day summer leadership retreat where they establish a supportive community, begin to develop the leadership traits we’ll focus on throughout the program, and build a concrete understanding of what it means to successfully navigate high school, from earning credits to developing a post-secondary strategy.

Then, retired veteran educators serve as coaches and mentors to the students, supporting them with everything from enrolling in classes, to helping with homework, to developing organizational skills. Students will continue to meet as a cohort throughout the school year so that they have an expanding network of peers all working toward the same goal.
